The festival is considered the largest of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. This year will be the 26th edition and will include the latest auteur documentaries, thematic retrospectives and examples of experimental cinema. The audience will be able to see the largest retrospective of Philippine cinema presented outside Asia, as well as a reflection on the war in Ukraine. There will also be a section called ‘Notes on the War’, consisting of world documentary classics. The Czech Joy section, dedicated to national works, will screen ‘Adam Ondra: Pushing the Limits’, a portrait of one of the world’s best sport climbers, by Jan Šimánek and Petr Záruba. Numerous Italian productions will also be present in this 2022 edition.
