The National Gallery in Prague hosts “French impressionism: masterpieces from the Ordrupgaard collection”, at Kinský Palace, an exhibition organized in collaboration with the Danish Ordrupgaard museum. An exhibition of light and colour that presents about sixty works including the masterpieces of Cézanne and Gauguin, the canvases of impressionists such as Monet, Degas, Renoir, Sisley and Pissarro with excursions into other artistic trends. Delacroix represents the romantic painting while Courbet the realist style as well as the artists of the Barbizon school including Corot and Daubigny. The exhibition, open until October 20, will be completed by some paintings of the National Gallery and works by other French masters from private collections.
