Josef Lada in the Dancing House

The Dancing House Gallery celebrates 130 years from the birth and sixty years from the passing of Josef Lada (1887-1957) with the exhibition “The Sevens of Josef Lada”, born in collaboration with the artist’s family. The four floors of the building are hosting over 400 artworks, some never displayed before. They are offering an impressive overview on the painter’s work and personal life with the most famous paintings, childhood illustrations and caricatures of the lesser-known creative period, personal objects and other interactive, designed for the little ones as a corner of fairy tale reproduction. Open until April, the exhibition is the largest retrospective dedicated to Lada in the last decade, comprising artworks from eight museums, galleries and private collections. Among the curators is the homonymous grandson of the painter.
