For the eightieth year of Josef Koudelka, the retrospective Returning offers a glimpse of the artistic output of the unique Czech photographer, member of the Magnum Photos and considered for decades among the best in his field. It is organized by the Prague Museum of Decorative Arts, to which the photographer has donated hundreds of snapshots. The exhibition includes 350 photographs, some never exhibited before, taken from his most famous cycles: Beginnings, Experiments, Theatre, Gypsies, Invasion 68, key episode for his creative development, Exiles, Panorama. Open until September 23rd, it takes place at the same time as the De-Creazione exhibition, set up by the National Gallery at Veletržní palác with the 18 large-format photographs that Koudelka presented at the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.
