This volume of Lamberto Ferranti in an accurate, detailed manner, traces a very important historical period of the first post-war period that greatly contributed to the birth of Czechoslovakia. The end of the Great War brought considerable problems to a political, economic and social nature, which was sought to be resolved in the Paris Peace Conference. From it emerged a new world order with the formation of new states after the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In relation to the formation of the Czech-Slovakia, Italy immediately sided in its favor by forming a Czechoslovak Legion of Italy, which immediately after the conflict went to Slovakia to challenge Hungary for the territories still under their control. In exchange for this help Italy expected to be able to extend its influence on the young country of central Europe and receive diplomatic support in order to resolve the disputes that were arising with the Yugoslavs for the domination of the Adriatic.
