The Czechoslovak Mille Miglia
The National Museum of Technology has chosen to commemorate the centenary of the Republic with an exhibition dedicated to the “Czechoslovak Mille Miglia”. The race, organized by the Czechoslovak Auto club, has become a legend although it took place in only three editions, in 1933, 1934 and 1935. The route went from Prague to Bratislava and vice versa for two consecutive times and a total of 1600 km. At the end of the 1960s, the event was revived by the Veteran Car Club Praha but only as a commemorative event. Some of the cars that took part in the 1930s competitions, including the Aero 750 Sport Coupé, Wikov 7/28 and Jawa 750 will be exhibited in the Technical Museum. Plates and prizes will be showcased as well, like the third edition’s winner’s cup.
