The Pálava Wine Harvest

Almost everywhere in Czech Republic, the end of summer brings the wine harvest festivities. The most famous and popular one is in Moravia, in Pálava, returning timely for more than 72 editions in the town of Mikulov, every second weekend of September. The program includes the National Wine Competition of Mikulov region with wine tastings of other 500 qualities for all, a wine aroma identifying championship, craft and wine markets to taste the burčák, fermented must, and watch the grapes being processed. There will be plenty of music and dances of folk groups in local costumes and accompanied by the dulcimer, the historical parade led by King Wenceslas IV, performances by Czech and Slovak singers and groups and activities for children.
