From May 25 to January 31
Following the reopening to the public, the National Museum program has been enriched by the exhibition “We stick together”, dedicated to protective masks. The museum body, whose task is to document certain historical moments but also the contemporaneity, since March has collected various materials to testify to the state of emergency and the pandemic from Covid-19. The masks, which have become part of daily life, are undoubtedly the symbol par excellence. The exhibition displays various models, accompanied by the stories that served as a backdrop to its realization: from the first, intended for the obstetrics department of the Prague hospital of Podolí, to the fashionable ones created by well-known designers, from industrial and tailoring to those sewn by hand in home.
