On 13th December at the exhibition venues of the Prague National Gallery (Veletržní palác) the show “Vietnam: Propaganda posters” will open at 6pm, organised by Eleuthería foundation in collaboration with the Prague National Gallery.
The exhibition is aimed at reviving, through nearly 140 posters, the whole art production linked to the propaganda of Vietnam from the 1960s to 1990s. The exhibition, curated by Ottaviano Maria Razetto, showcases the works within a highly precise structure which is in keeping with the architecture of the exhibition venues of Veletržní palác. The initiative is promoted under the sponsorship of the city of Prague, of municipality of Prague 1, of the Italian Embassy, of the Embassy of Vietnam, of the Italian Institute of Culture and of the Prague National Gallery.
The catalogue, published by Eleuthería in co-operation with the Prague National Gallery, written in English, Czech and Italian, contains an introduction of the president of the foundation Francesco Augusto Razetto. Among the authors are also the director of the Prague National Gallery professor Tomáš Vlček and the Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi. The exhibition will remain open through 30 January 2010, from Tuesday to Sunday, opening times 10am – 6pm, entrance from Dukelských hrdinů 47, Praha 7.
