From the 2nd to the 11th of December

MittelCinemaFest in Prague and Brno

On December 2, the 13th edition of the Central European Festival of Italian cinema will start in Lucerna cinema in Prague. For the first time this year, the festival will then have a second part, which takes place from 9th to 11th December at the Cinema Scala in Brno.
The travelling festival, promoted by Cinecittà Luce and the Italian Cultural Institutes of the host cities, Budapest, Krakow, Bratislava and Prague, boasts a program featuring nine Italian films from the last two years. Many of these have competed for nominations to represent Italy at the Oscars, such as the chosen film, Don’t be bad by Claudio Caligari, Nanni Moretti’s My Mother, Latin lover from Cristina Comencini or Sworn Virgin from Laura Bispuri. On the evening of the 1st of December, also in Lucerna, the opening concert will take place. The maestro Walter Attanasi, with the direction of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic orchestra, will play “The Great Music of Italian Cinema”.
