Kuchařka z ostrova Sardinie

“This recipe book is a novel, my Anna Karenina…”, are the words that author, Karolina Konečná uses to describe her book “Kuchařka z ostrova Sardinie”, the last recipe book, in order of time, illustrating Italian food traditions, written in Czech, that is now in the bookshops. “Kuchařka z ostrova Sardinie” is, first of all, a very pleasant book for its graphics, selection of photographs, and even for the choice of print characters, but the work is especially interesting because it is written in Czech language and introduces the reader to the best cuisine of one of the richest Italian regions in terms of traditional gastronomy and variety of products: Sardinia. From the famous Carasau bread, to fried squids, pumpkin flowers and pecorino and saffron Malloreddus, Konečná’s work shows a deep knowledge of Sardinia and its traditions, offering us a 360° panorama of the island’s cuisine, with suggestions on how to make various tasty dishes, illustrating the best way to prepare them.
