The issue of our magazine on the world’s most popular social network is the result of a deep communicative drive and it shows an inclination to update that, in the era of digitalisation and new technologies, we must take into consideration.
From virtual communities to e-commerce, the relationship between social network and daily life is more and more marked. In order to keep update we need to be in line with the new social and communicative models of the web.
The page on the social network was realized with the aim of creating a meeting place for our readers and consequently a direct line of communication. Besides sharing news, users can also find a lot of useful information about our publishing activities; primarily the articles we publish, as well as an extensive photo gallery.
So, the main objective is to give to our readers who surf the social network the possibility to learn, read our reports directly on facebook, comment and share the news on their own profile. At the same time the readers can interact directly with us by communicating any defections or simply helping to keep update our magazine as much as possible.
As you know, our newspaper cares about issues related to the area where we operate – The Czech Republic and Central Europe- trying to highlight the economic, political, social and cultural ferment.
The face book interface of the news paper provides an immediate view of the latest news. And, of course, it is intuitive and faithful to the topics of our magazine.
The target is expanding and evolving appealing all those, via facebook, that can approach our magazine out of simple curiosity or because of a strong interest linked to social-economic in-depth study about Czech Republic.
The first step in creating this page of Progetto Repubblica Ceca was to send friendship notifications and invitations to our key partners, customers and supporters of our magazine on facebook, trying at the same time to arouse the interest of new potential supporters. The social network mechanism of friendship amplifies in an exponential way the view of this page and this allows us to relate in real time with thousands of users. The first results have shown a strong curiosity from those who have already shown interest in the same topics our magazine is interested in. Yet the start, as for any other project, implies careful consideration about that kind of people we want to reach so as to create a list of friends who can really appreciate our information.
This kind of friendship mechanism allows us to use one of the most common and cheapest form of marketing: the viral marketing. Word of mouth mechanism through the web allows a free and immediate advertising which is really necessary to launch en event or promote an activity.
As we all know facebook is not a simple social network, but it’s the social network par excellence, able to spread any kind of information among millions of users with a simple click. In future Progetto Repubblica Ceca intends to analyze the subject trying to use the best features of facebook.
We do that with a modern and innovative spirit since we wish to add value to our business, to inform our readers in the most professional manner and to keep up with their needs.
