From January 16th to February 3rd
Prague is alone

Stefano Baldussi, part of the Poldi Libri group, is organizing the “Prague is Alone” project in collaboration with the Municipality and the University of Padua, the Czech Center of Milan and the CRAF of Spilimbergo. The name takes the title of an editorial of the Manifesto which commented on the invasion of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. On January 16, the day of the anniversary of Jan Palach’s self-immolation in Wenceslas Square, a study day will be held with various speeches linked by the common theme of the Prague Spring. The following day there will be an encounter with the comic book writer Vittorio Giardino. The program also includes an exhibition, open until February 3rd, a film festival and the presentation of the book “Spring is here” by the writer Ludvík Vaculík.
